It's Not Boring, It's Governance!
Governance is where philanthropy decides who holds power over resources meant for the public good, and how that power gets used. Season 2 of #MakeShiftHappen follows people who are changing that from the inside, and this is your first look at the first half of the season, six conversations releasing between October 14, 2026 and March 2027.
As always, we didn't hand anyone a script. We asked each pair what stories they had that could help us learn together about transformation, and the same themes kept surfacing on their own: redefining fiduciary duty, staying in relationship through conflict, and being honest about how money and power shape the way we show up with one another.

Oct 08, 2026 | SEASON 2What Happens When Governance Cultivates Belonging?
Most philanthropic governance was built for separation: community from decision-making, board from staff, even board members from each other. The distance that creates is where the gap between values and practice lives, but it doesn't have to be that way. This season of #MakeShiftHappen is about building governance structures worthy of the world we want.

Oct 06, 2026 | SEASON 2When Philanthropy Shifts From Protection to Purpose…
